McCleary Inc. hired about a half dozen former Guy's employees, including the district manager and vice president of sales.
Guy's, based in Liberty, MO, filed for Chapter 11 in February 2000 after stating losses of $5.75 million in the previous 16 months. In February, Guy's shut down its 325,000-sf manufacturing plant in Liberty. At the time the company employed 600 persons.
