The Rack will open at Creekside this summer. Creekside is being constructed in a joint venture between Newport Beach-based shopping center developer Donahue Schriber Realty Group and Sacramento-based Evergreen Britannia Pacific.

The two companies started construction on the 41-acre site in 1999 and plan to have Phase Two completed this summer. Once the second phase is completed this summer, the center will have 370,000 sf of retail with tenants such as Babies 'R Us, Barnes & Noble, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and Old Navy.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed, however, tenants in mall and retail centers can expect to pay roughly $1.60 to $2.01 per sf per month, according to a fourth quarter 2000 retail market report published by CB Richard Ellis in Sacramento.
