Brian Roby has been named president and chief executive officer of First National Bank of Olathe. Roby has served as executive vice president since 1998. He succeeds Dennis Meyer, who resigned after seven years as president and CEO.
The bank, which was founded in 1887, just opened its eighth branch at 6114 Nieman Road in Shawnee. The ninth branch will be at the intersection of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Lackman Road in Shawnee and the 10th in the upscale Cedar Creek development along K-10 in Olathe.
Proposed for the site at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Lackman Road is a 10,000 sf, free-standing structure that will cost about $2.5 million. It will be located near the newly opened Home Depot and Best Buy stores.
