Denver-based Perlmutter had developed the original Northglenn Mall, a regional shopping center at Interstate 25 and 104th Avenue in 1968. He razed the mall to make way for the Marketplace, which is anchored by Mervyns, Lowes, Ross Dress for Less Border's Book, Gart Sports PetsMart, Office Depot, Marshalls, Ulta3 Cosmetics and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Gordon Mickelson, senior vice president of NorthMarq's Denver office, has arranged the financing. NorthMarq Capital, headquartered in Minneapolis, services a portfolio of $8 billion on behalf of 50 institutional investors.
