Old Commercial Loft Transforming Into Condo

NEW YORK CITY-The former commercial loft building at 38-44 Warren St. between West Broadway and Church Street is being developed as a residential condominium by East Tribeca Associates LLC, a partnership between KJ Warren Associates LCC and EMJ Buildings LLC. Known at the Keystone Building, the structure consists of four contiguous, five -story buildings that are being supplemented with four stories with setbacks for terraces. In the early 20th century, it was home to the Odd Job Trading Co., which sold its wares in pushcarts on the Lower East Side.

Twenty four residences will be constructed, ranging from 1,248 sf to 2,815 sf and with ceiling heights up to 11 feet. Amenities will include master bathrooms with his and hers vanities, six-foot soaking bathtubs, a laundry room and wood-burning fireplaces for the three penthouses. Six apartments will have individual terraces, the rest will share a common roof deck. All units will be wired to high-speed Internet access and cable TV.
