Among the topics to be focused on include: technology, marketing, finance, law and overall downtown revitalization. All of the events will take place at different venues throughout the city so that a variety of sites can be showcased to attendees.

"Yonkers is a great place in which to do business," states Yonkers Mayor John Spencer. "Yonkers Business Week 2001 will provide local businesses with tools and insight to help them generate more revenue and increase their bottom line."

One of the highlights of the week will be a Business Expo on Thursday, April 26, at the Royal Regency Hotel on Tuckahoe Road. The Expo will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include exhibitors as well a number of seminars and lectures on using technology, developing marketing strategies, learning about available government business assistance programs, and other business-related topics. That event is being run in cooperation with the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce and the Westchester County Board of Realtors Inc.
