"The Annapolis market has shown a great demand for upscale Class A office space over the last few years," says MIE founder and president Ed St. John. This is the company's third Annapolis project, but its first multi-story office structure in the county. The building will feature 33,750-sf floor plates, telecommunications and Internet facilities, and more than 600 parking spaces.

The building will also include retail space, a concierge service, and a tenant conference room. The two-story atrium lobby will feature a granite floor, chrome and glass railings, two-story open connecting stairways of wood, and a tree rising from the floor to the ceiling.

Building architect is Robert Hoffman of Hoffman & Associates and the design work is being handled by Michael Asner & Associates. MIE, founded in 1971, has developed roughly 8.5 million sf in the Baltimore area. The company also has projects in Colorado and Wisconsin.
