The recommendations must work their way through a variety of committees before being considered by the city council. The plans may also be affected by ballpark funding proposals now in front of the Minnesota Legislature.
St. Paul is also working on plans to offer a site near its Xcel Energy Center for a new ballpark. "We are discouraged by the lack of progress and coordination toward the development of an acceptable financing plan,'' Lambrecht says.
