Telecom Valley Developer Expanding Scope

PETALUMA, CA-Basin Street Properties is adding another line of real estate to its portfolio. A leading developer of commercial projects in the North Bay area known as Telecom Valley Basin Street is joint venturing with Irvine-based Western National Group on several multifamily developments.

The duo says it has several projects on tap in Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties. Matt White, company president, says the new division will help develop 400 apartment units in the North Bay through 2002.

The company and Western National Group plan to start construction this fall on a mixed-use project that will include a 100-unit apartment complex along with 120,000 sf of office space and 10,000 sf of retail space. The partnership also plans a second project of 265 apartment units, 500,000 sf of office space and 45,000 sf of retail.
