Cousins also wouldn't disclose the construction cost of the venture. But industry estimators familiar with comparable projects tell GlobeSt.com the project is coming in at an estimated hard construction cost of $25 million or about $150 per sf.

The property is at the intersection of GA 54 and 74 in Peachtree City, 30 miles south of Downtown Atlanta. Avenue Peachtree's nearest competition is the Lenox Mall, about 42 miles away.

The primary terms of the new mall's initial leases are five to 10 years with an average asking rent of $22 to $27 per sf.
