The building is Post Properties' first development in the city. "The location is ideal for this product, and the market for class A apartments is outstanding in Washington," says Post president David Stockert.

"That whole neighborhood is in a resurgence," adds Post vice president Steve Etminani, who says construction should be finished by the end of next year. "It's a fantastic location."

According to the company, the building will combine modern features with aspects of the city's native architecture in order to appeal to both traditionalists and those with more modern tastes. The building will also include three levels of secure underground parking and a doorman, and the building's top two floors will feature 26 luxury units with nine-foot ceilings and private terraces.
