Dirt's Flying on 51,885-SF Spec Project

AUSTIN-Trammell Crow Central Texas Ltd has broken ground on Walnut Creek Commerce Center, a 51,885-sf office and research and development center in the city’s northern corridor.

The project, located at 8220 Crosspark, is scheduled to deliver in October. The site is positioned across from Austin’s primary post office with access to Interstate 35 and Texas 183 and 290. The spec building will be located in the long-established Walnut Creek Business Park, a 700-acre, mixed-use facility off Cameron Lane.

Trammell Crow has purchased the five acres from California-based Steag Corp., a semiconductor vendor that’s pulling out of Austin, Gail O’Connor, senior vice president of Trammell Crow Central Texas’ Industrial division, tells GlobeSt.com.
