The 4,500-sf, $2.5-million store is located in the city of Lone Tree, near the Park Meadows Mall. It is situated at 7514 E. Parkway Dr. near County Line Road at the Quebec Street and C-470 exit.
Krispy Kreme, based in Winston Salem, NC currently operates around 180 stores in 28 states. Of those, 58 are company owned. Over the next four years, it plans to open 100 new stores in the US and 32 in Canada.
Despite its popularity, it is not without competition. About a year ago, LaMar's donuts of Kansas City, MO had opened its first Denver store at Sixth Avenue and Kalamath Street. LaMar's plans to build 35 more stores in the Denver area during the next five years.
