The center will be used as a sales tool and will showcase Internet, data and optical transport products for Broadwing plus demonstrate network management and engineering capabilities of the company. "The executive briefing center makes our technology tangible, and in turn, will be a powerful tool for recruiting Fortune 500 customers and showcasing our industry-leading technology," says Pat Glavin, Broadwing's vice president of corporate marketing.
In January, Broadwing had opened a center in Delaware. Company officials say the center represents a significant upgrade to Broadwing's current network operations facility in Austin. Headquartered in Cincinnati and Austin, Broadwing employs 6,000 employees in 56 sales and service offices across the country.
