Two Downtown Buildings Go On Market

KANSAS CITY-City Center Square, one of Downtown's largest buildings at 650,000 sf, and the vacant Jones Store are on the market. No price has been set yet, but few large office properties become available in the submarket.

KANSAS CITY-A couple of big ticket items are on sale Downtown. City Center Square, one of Kansas City’s largest office buildings, and the now vacant Jones Store Co. building are both on the market.

The buildings are being offered by The Archon Group of Dallas.

Archon purchased City Center Square at 1100 Main St. in the summer of 1996 and the Jones Store, at 12th and Main streets, last year. An Archon spokesperson says the investment funds that the company advises prefers to sell its properties within five years. Archon is owned by the Wall Street firm of The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
