WALNUT CREEK, CA-The recent acquisition of the101,000-sf Citrus Center here is the third Bay Area property Los Angeles-based Doerken Properties has added to its portfolio. Following the $16.3 million acquisition, the company plans significant upgrades to the area shopping center.

The property, located at the northeast corner of Oak Grove Toad and Citrus Boulevard is 100% occupied. Tenants include Bank of America, Washington Mutual and Nob Hill Foods. Upgrades to the property will include remodeling the frontages on buildings occupied by the two banks and improve signage and landscaping throughout the property.
