Northwest Houston Land Selling Briskly

HOUSTON-Land is a hot ticket in the northwest corridor these days, with three sales coming down the pike. The largest tract, 13.1 acres, is destined for a townhome development. Another parcel is for a private school and the other, industrial use.

HOUSTON-Three land deals, totaling 29.5 acres, will bring more development to northwest Houston, including a new townhome community. Caldwell Watson brokers Keith P. Grothaus and Keith Edwards have closed a deal with Cypresswood Homes for 13.1 acres along Grant Road between Perry and Jones roads. Grothaus says the success of a neighboring townhome community has sparked the sale to Cypresswood. Fred Caldwell Trustee is the seller.

Cy-Fair Christian Academy Inc. has bought a little more than nine acres at Telge Road north of Cypress North Houston Road. Grothaus tells GlobeSt.com that the organization plans to build a private religious school on the land. Fred Caldwell Trustee also is the seller of this acreage. Clare Flesher of Trione & Gordon represented Cy-Fair Christian Academy.

Finally, Grothaus has sold nearly 7.5 acres for Red Bluff Ltd. and SixW Ltd. The property is located along Clay Road between Blalock and Campbell. Buyer Williamette Industries, a paper recycling business, had wanted this particular parcel because it is serviced by a rail spur and has a yard facility.
