The BOMA luncheon session, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel here beginning at 11:30 a.m., will feature Peter Savio, associate project manager, Energy Efficiency Services, with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. NYCERTA is a public benefit corporation that provides energy-related technical and financial packaging assistance to businesses and institutions. The Albany-based agency also provides energy research and development programs aimed at promoting efficient technologies that produce safe and economical energy.

Savio is expected to discuss how the real estate community can help prevent an energy crisis from taking place in Westchester County. In addition, he will explain the merits of NYCERTA's "Peak-Load Reduction Program" which has $12.4 million in incentives for energy service providers in New York State. Incentives and cost savings generated from the Peak Load Reduction Program are then to be shared with end-user building owners or operators, NYCERTA officials say.
