"We are doing very well in Atlanta," Larry Mayran, marketing director for Chateau Elan, tells GlobeSt.com.
"Analysts had predicted a 10% to 15% drop in business after we took over as an independent," but "on the contrary, we've had the highest profits in our history, which is a great thing and we did it on our own."
He would not disclose any financials to GlobeSt.com.
Mayran says the resort is consistently booking 70% occupancy at the property with a 7% increase in bookings since his firm took over private management of the resort's inn from the Marriott flag last year.
Chateau Elan Winery & Resort has seven restaurants, a winery, a 30,000 sf spa, 25,000 sf conference center and 275-room inn with accommodations that average $154 to $319 per night.
The company manages boutique and vintage hotels and resorts. In June, it will open its international flagship property, St. Andrews Bay golf resort in Scotland.
