Heiser Breaks Ground on 30 Luxury Condos

AUSTIN-Construction is under way on a 30-unit, high-end condominium project near Zilker Park, where options include a private elevator. The Villas of Lost Canyon, located at 1529 Barton Springs Rd., is an undertaking of Austin-based Heiser Development. The project will deliver in three consecutive annual phases. Robert Heiser of Heiser Development is the architect and Heiser Development, the construction manager. Harris Properties, also Austin based, is the exclusive leasing and marketing agent.

The first phase, with three-bedroom units in the $470,000 range, will deliver in summer 2002, Renee Schwartz, Harris Properties’ sales manager, tells GlobeSt.com. Some ground-level units will have an option for an additional 400 sf of living space as an unfinished walkout basement. Prices will begin at $300,000 and go as high as $1 million per unit.

The majority of the units and all of them in phase one will be 2,133-sf three-bedroom, three-bath condominiums, with five of the final units reserved for special build-out features. The second phase will contain two-bedroom units, totaling 1,620 sf, and will carry price tags in the mid-$300,000s. One unit on the property has already been reserved.
