Some development has been announced. Others are about to be announced. The biggest anticipated announcement is the signing of a lease by a large 160,000-sf home improvement warehouse on the southwest corner of the intersection in the Barshop & Oles development of The Village at Blanco. The Village at Blanco, which is already home to an H-E-B supermarket and a Jim's Restaurant, is 95% leased as it moves into its second phase.

Cencor Realty's 88,000-sf Blanco Market is located on the northeast corner of State Loop 1604 and Blanco Road and anchored by a 63,000-sf Albertson's. Its inline leasing and pad activity is continuing at full speed. A freestanding 3,500-sf Chick Fil-A is under construction on one of three pad sites available at the intersection.

A new Super Target will anchor The Vineyard, Trammell Crow's 600,000-sf retail development that's under development on a 100-acre tract on the northwest corner of Blanco and State Loop 1604. On the southeast corner, retail developer Rick Sheldon has released two one-acre parcels for development. The land, which has sold for $22 per sf, will be developed as a McDonald's and a Bank of America.
