Laird is part of the original investment advisory group that joined Unico in 1996. He has been instrumental in all of Unico's acquisitions. In his new position, he will conduct investment and lease-cost analysis, as well as create and implement financial and valuation models.

Laird received his bachelor's degree in marketing and entrepreneurial management from Seattle Pacific University, and his background is in real estate, both as an analyst and an asset manager. Prior to Unico, Laird worked with the Norman Company (with several current Unico members) and FSLIC Northwest Regional Operations.

Recently, Unico, one of the largest landowners in downtown Seattle, named Kathryn Colgan its director of leasing for suburban offices in the greater Seattle area. The company also promoted and relocated Dan Preisler to Boise, ID where he will manage the 272,000-sf US Bank Plaza. Unico's portfolio includes more than 7 million square feet of office and retail space throughout the Northwest, with satellite offices in Bellevue, Tacoma, and Renton, WA; Boise, ID; Portland, OR and San Francisco.
