Prior to Bechtel, Fried worked for Asea Brown Boveri, a power and automation technology group, and Fluor Daniel, a publicly owned global engineering and construction company. Rob Jajteles, Citadon's interim president and CEO will continue to serve as the company chairman.

Citadon says its online project management services are currently being used in more than 30 countries, by about 30,000 subscribers on more than 1400 projects with a construction value in excess of $115 billion.

Earlier this month, the privately held real estate investment firm Gale & Wentworth entered into a $2.7 million agreement with Citadon whereby the company will provide development and facilities management on two major projects in New Jersey.
