The strategic decision comes after the company spotted a slowdown in orders from existing hotel and restaurant customers for its purchasing systems technology. Current clients such as the Marriott and Hyatt hotel chains are maintaining their contracts, GoCo-op officials say in a prepared statement.
The company eliminated an undisclosed number of outside computer consultants last November. The hotel/restaurant services Internet company has attracted $40 million in venture capital since its founding in 1995 by CEO Christopher G. Cogan.
