The group is comprised of prominent political, business and sports leaders, who will be out in full force when Boeing tours Denver-area sites May 1. The Boeing 100 list, created by Gov. Bill Owens and Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, includes such notables as Pat Bowlen, president of the Denver Broncos; Peter Coors, chairman of Coors Brewing Co.; James Crowe, president and CEO of Level 3 Communications; and John Elway, former Denver Broncos quarterback and now a mega-car dealer. It also has Gerald Greenwald, chairman emeritus of United Airlines, which is based in a suburb of Chicago. Greenwald owns a home in Aspen.

Although the list reads like a veritable "Who's Who" of Colorado business and political leaders, one group is notably absent. There are no real estate brokers or real estate developers on the list.

"That is by design," Bob Lee, executive director for the state's economic development and international trade office tells GlobeSt.com. "We have many fine brokers and developers here, and many of them were interested on being on the task force. But many of them own or represent parcels of land that could be used by Boeing so we wanted to avoid a conflict of interest."
