The 21-year-old developer and builder is constructing its own headquarters. The two-story, 20,000-sf building is scheduled to open in November. It's at 9055 E. Mineral Circle in the recently created Centennial City along the southeast corridor. Voters decided to incorporate as a city last year, creating Colorado's fourth-largest city.

The builder's 50 employees will occupy half the space, while Equinox will lease the remaining 10,000 sf to another tenant or tenants. Architect Abo Copeland has designed the building. It will include a library, video room, and several conference rooms. MacGregor Wathen is the general contractor.

The Panorama Park building is close to Interstate 25 and C-470 and will be within walking distance to a new light rail station to be built at Dry Creek Road and Interstate 25. It also is close to a number of restaurants and stores at the Park Meadows regional mall and along E. Arapahoe and County Line roads.

It's better to be an owner than a tenant in today's market, says Gene Osborne, founder and CEO of the Equinox Group. "Our new headquarters will enable the company to maintain a consistent office expense overhead during a period of rising lease coasts in the southeast corridor," Osborne says.
