Insignia Acquires Operations in India

NEW YORK CITY-The operations of Brooke International in India have been acquired on Insignia Financial Group, based here, for an undisclosed sum. Brooke is a real estate services firm based in Hong Kong. The business includes offices in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. Its clients include Proctor & Gamble, Philips, Bharat Petroleum and Standard Chartered/Grindlays Bank.

Andrew K. Farkas, chairman and chief executive officer of Insignia, says the purchase was motivated by the “growing corporate real estate services market developing in India for Western companies, which are capitalizing on high levels of education, IT knowledge and capability and low staff costs.”
