A think tank, Outland Technologies will house its intellectual properties group, the division that conceives, develops models, fabricates and tests innovative concepts, in the new facility. The tenant is expected to occupy the space next month.

"Our company, founded in 1997, is currently entering its next phase," says Terry Martin, CEO of Outland Technologies. "We hired a research firm to help us locate the best market to support this next phase and future growth. The results of the research overwhelmingly pointed to Irvine, which offers the most qualified labor pool of engineers, as well as an experienced investment community."

The firm holds several patents, including a highly efficient state-of-the-art CvR pump, and has other projects currently in the pipeline that will be developed at the new facility.
