The governor also reports that the state has provided the town of Orangetown in Rockland County with $387,500 to acquire and preserve the Mary Blake Property. Acquisition of that 25-acre parcel will provide a link between Schuler Town Park, Buttermilk Falls County Park and Blauvelt State Park. The property is currently in danger of development, according to state officials.
Funding for these projects were provided by the Governor's 1996 Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act.
