70,000-SF Sugar Creek Facing Construction Deadline

SUGAR LAND, TX-Turner Adreac Development Co.'s construction company is pushing hard to meet an end of June finish for the 70,000-sf second phase at Sugar Creek. Lead tenant, Helix Infusion Therapy, is driving the deadline for a quick move-in.

SUGAR LAND, TX-A 70,000-sf Sugar Creek phase II is under a tight construction schedule to deliver at the end of June.

The class-A project is located at 14140 Southwest Freeway. The project had an 8 1/2-month construction timeline so its lead tenant could get moved in, Brad Crain, Quest Construction Co.’s vice president of construction, tells GlobeSt.com. Houston-based Helix Infusion Therapy is taking 43,000 sf in the four-story building with an equally high-attached parking garage.

Crain says only 1.7 acres of a triangulated 2.2-acre parcel had been usable for construction. The acreage is positioned along Texas 59 at the entrance to Sugar Land, making for a tight squeeze because of the freeway frontage. Some firms had turned away from the development for that reason.
