.Smarterkids.com was leasing 140,000 sf of space in this 186,000 sf structure, which is owned by AMB Property Corp., when it had to abandon the space. The space was on the market for a few months before TJX took it. The move is an ironic one in an area that assumed dot-com companies would fill up the warehouse space here in the Northeast.
Cushman & Wakefield broker J. P. Plunkett represented Smarterkids.com and negotiated a lease termination with AMB. Insignia/ESG managing director Steven E. Clancy negotiated the deal between AMB and TJX.
