MANSFIELD, MA-In what could be seen as the start of a new trend for industrial space–or just a return to the old economy–TJX Cos., a Framingham, MA-based retailer, leased space here that became available when Smarterkids.com merged with a California-based company and moved away

.Smarterkids.com was leasing 140,000 sf of space in this 186,000 sf structure, which is owned by AMB Property Corp., when it had to abandon the space. The space was on the market for a few months before TJX took it. The move is an ironic one in an area that assumed dot-com companies would fill up the warehouse space here in the Northeast.
