Jim McCullagh, Domain's president, tells GlobeSt.com that as part of the store roll-out program, the company will most likely open three additional stores within a 50 mile radius of Boston. "Based on surveys we've taken, we believe that the demographics support additional stores within the Boston metropolitan market," he says. The new stores will range in size from 5,000 sf to 7,000 sf.
Domain traditionally clusters its stores in highly visible and high traffic locations such as upscale malls, lifestyle centers and freestanding units in major metropolitan markets. The chain store targets an affluent customer base. The company does not plan to expand across the country until 2004.
