The 12-story office facility is located in the Mid-Wilshire section of the city. Completed in 1974, it encompasses 200,000 sf. The building stands at 3055 Wilshire Blvd.
At the time of sale, the Wilshire Centre Building was 65% occupied. Major tenants include American Arbitration, Bank of America and the Los Angeles District Attorney's office.
The Operating Engineers Pension Trust was represented by Ron Buss of Buss-Shelger Associates. The buyer, 3055 Wilshire LLC, was represented by Randal Lee of Lilly Enterprises Inc.
The Operating Engineers Pension Trust was started in 1960 by a negotiated trust agreement between the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12 and the employers who are party to the labor agreements. It is handled by Operating Engineers Funds Inc., a non-profit corporation that administers the employee benefit programs for more than 35,000 members of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12 and their dependents and beneficiaries.
