WASHINGTON, DC-Another law firm has joined the class action suit against Humphrey Hospitality Trust, and others may soon follow. Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll, PLLC, a law firm specializing in class-action claims, joined the suit filed this week by Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP, which alleges the REIT made its financial status appear healthier than it actually was and caused stock purchasers to lose money.
According to Steven Toll of Cohen, Milstein, others plaintiffs may soon join the suit, which was filed this week in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on behalf of everyone who bought Humphrey Hospitality Trust securities between Nov.14, 2000 and Mar. 29, 2001.
