Construction Begins on Housing Development

MINNEAPOLIS-The first phase of the Humboldt Greenway housing development on Minneapolis' Northside includes 90 homes and 75 rental units for seniors. The housing development will occur in several phases over several years.

MINNEAPOLIS-Construction has begun on the Humboldt Greenway housing development, one of the largest public investment projects on Minneapolis’ Northside in decades. The first phase includes 90 new homes and 75 rental units for seniors in an eight-block area of Humboldt Avenue between Victory Memorial Drive and 53rd Avenue North.

When completed, this beautiful greenway will feature senior housing, a variety of single-family homes and townhomes. The project is expected to help reinvigorate the Shingle Creek and Lind-Bohanon neighborhoods with a new parkway, improvements to Shingle Creek, landscaped medians, boulevards, new open space, a pedestrian mall and a range of housing choices.
