California Pizza Kitchen Opens At Valley Fair

SANTA CLARA, CA-Publicly traded California Pizza Kitchen opened its ninth Bay Area location and its first in the South Bay Monday at a newly expanded Westfield Shoppingtown Valley Fair. The purveyor of hearth-baked pizzas, pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches opened a 4,758-sf location on the lower level of the newly-expanded Center, and is well located between Restoration Hardware, J.Crew/J.Crew Kids and the Children’s Wing, and across from Starbucks.

California Pizza Kitchen has eight other Bay Area locations, including two in San Francisco. All told, the chain operates, licenses or franchises 114 restaurants of which 84 are company owned, and 30 operate under franchise or license agreements. In early trading Tuesday, shares of CPKI were trading at $25.42 a share, a little less than $10 below its 52-week high and a little less than $7 above its 52-week low.
