Trash Hauler Cleans Up, With S. Phoenix Sublet

PHOENIX-One of the nation's largest trash haulers has cleaned up on some industrial space vacated early by a tile-manufacturing firm.

PHOENIX-One of the nation’s largest trash haulers has cleaned up some excess industrial space in south Phoenix.

Waste Management, a Scottsdale-based waste hauling firm with operation in dozens of cities around the country, subleased 51,300 sf of industrial space at 2604 S. 38th St., signing a 6.5-year lease. Waste Management subleased the space from Emser Tile. Approximately 20% of space on the site is for office use. The property is just south of the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and the Salt River.

Waste Management will use the space as an operations center for its Valleywide trash pickup.
