The $15-million Legacy Buildings project will incorporate industrial space with office space, a signature feature of the company's class A product line. One facility, which is under construction at Wilmington Avenue in the Dominguez Technology Center, will total 247,000 sf. Another 177,000 sf will rise in Watson Corporate Center at 220th Street and Wilmington Avenue. Completion is slated for late Autumn 2001.

Watson's master-planned industrial centers offer protective covenants, the benefits of a Foreign Trade Zone and access to fiber optic loop. Located near six major freeways and the largest Intermodal Container Transfer Facility in the US, Watson's centers include Dominguez Technology Center, Watson Corporate Center and Watson Industrial Center South.

"To date we have built 1.75 million sf of Legacy Buildings that have quickly leased to solid tenants," says Kirk Johnson, VP of real estate operations at Watson Land. "In addition to a continuous stream of new leases, our year 2000 renewal rate was 84%."
