Hutton has been affiliated with The Builder's Association for nearly 22 years. Morgan has been an employee of the builder's group since 1986. Hutton was named president of The Builder's Association in 1986 when he succeeded his father, James L. Hutton.

The Builder's Association represents more than 900 general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers who work in the commercial construction industry in Kansas City, nearby Kansas counties and throughout central and western Missouri. Locally, the builder's chapter represents more than 100 general contractors and 50 associate members.

In 1993, Skip Hutton moved The Builder's Association training center to North Kansas City and expanded the group's facilities. Hutton will remain involved with the trade group's labor relations and insurance programs.

Morgan's experience includes work in labor relations. He also served as the director of governmental affairs and the director of membership development.

Prior to joining The Builder's Association, Morgan worked for five years as the director of Associated General Contractors of Kansas. He is a graduate of Kansas State University and the Washburn University School of Law.

"Dan Morgan had all the qualities of leadership we were looking for and was very familiar with the organization,'' says Phil Moore, chairman of the board of the Builders' Association and co-chair of the search committee. "We felt this combination would work well for the immediate and continued success of the organization.''
