The 900,000-sf Pomona project is being built on a 10-acre parcel on Mission Boulevard, just off the 71 Freeway. Aerospace giant General Dynamics operated a plant at the site for several years, but closed it during the Southland's brutal recession in the early 1990s.

The indoor mall is being built by developer Robert Clark, who also owns Boyd Furniture Co. A company spokeswoman says Boyd Furniture will open a store at the new complex and that several other tenants have already signed leases, including car-accessory retailer Source Ex and fast-growing shoe retailer Skechers USA.

Separately, the 65,219-sf center in Eagle Rock was sold for $8.3 million by privately held Market Ventures of Manhattan Beach to Culver City-based Continental Development Co. The project, in the 4900 block of Eagle Rock Blvd., is fully leased to tenants that include the Sav-On drug store chain and Super A Foods.
