The $4 million hangar will have 32,000 sf of maintenance floor space, 13,000 sf of administration/office space, and a 24,000-sf technical care area that will house Flightcraft's parts, avionics and accessory departments. The company's existing operations at the airport include a 5,000-sf business aviation area and several aircraft storage hangars.

Flightcraft, a member of the Eugene, OR-based Pape Group of companies, has entered into a 25-year lease with the Port of Portland for the land on which the new hangar will be built as well as its current leasehold. Construction of the new hangar is slated for completion by December. Aron Faegre & Assoc. is designing the building. Loerke Construction Group is the general contractor.
