Cedar Crossing LP is the seller of the tract in the coastal town east of Houston. The undertaking is Home Depot's largest distribution hub and will service its stores in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. In addition to the 40 acres, Home Depot has an option on an another 50 acres, which could take the development to two million sf if exercised.
Cushman & Wakefield Inc. of Texas says the development will be the largest warehouse structure that has been built in seven years in Houston's metropolitan area. C&W's John M. Talhelm and B. Kelley Parker III have represented Cedar Crossing LP in the deal at the 15,000-acre industrial park. Russell Perry of R.E. Perry Co., Mike Shields of Baytown Economic Development and Kent Fuller of the Greater Houston Partnership have acted in Home Depot's behalf.
