Home Depot Grabs 40 Acres for 755,000-SF Hub

BAYTOWN, TX-Home Depot will build the largest warehouse structure that's been undertaken in the past seven years in the Houston metro area. The home improvement center has closed on 40 acres for the facility that will service stores in six states.

BAYTOWN, TX-Home Depot has closed on a 40-acre tract at Cedar Crossing Industrial Park in Baytown. The home improvement center is planning to build a 755,000-sf warehouse distribution center.

Cedar Crossing LP is the seller of the tract in the coastal town east of Houston. The undertaking is Home Depot’s largest distribution hub and will service its stores in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. In addition to the 40 acres, Home Depot has an option on an another 50 acres, which could take the development to two million sf if exercised.
