The 42-story, 715,463-sf office project stands at 611 W. Sixth St. It has been renamed 611 Place and the prominent AT&T signage has been removed.

Brokers say there is more than 250,000 sf of empty space in the building, which is owned by New York-based Chetrit Group LLC. AT&T bought out its lease and left last year, shortly after the property was acquired by Chetrit.

Grubb & Ellis brokers William H. Atha II, T.C. Macker and Joe Faulkner are handling leasing at the building. Atha says negotiations with several prospective tenants have already begun, including one tenant that would come onboard as the new anchor.
