AMB Property Corp. purchased Edgewater for investment and redevelopment roughly a year ago. The property, located at 7200 Edgewater Dr., is directly across Interstate 880 from the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

According to John Rossi, senior vice president of operations at AMB, the property required only nominal tenant improvements. He adds that, although there may be a slowing economy, Metro proves that there are still a number of companies that are expanding operations.

Metro will use around 200,000 sf for plant and distribution use and approximately 20,000 sf for regional offices. Another 48,000 sf is still available.
