Pradera Buys Athens Mall

ATHENS - The Pradera European Retail Fund has bought the Village Entertainment Park in Athens from TrizecHahn and Village Cinemas International for around Euro 60 million.

ATHENS – The Pradera European Retail Fund – launched last year by ex-Grantchester chief Paul Wight – has bought the Village Entertainment Park in Athens from TrizecHahn and Village Cinemas International for around Euro 60 million.

The Village Entertainment Park is situated in Rendis, 4 km South-East of Athens City Centre. The 221,740 sq ft, open-air centre trades on three levels and attracted three million visitors in 2000. It is anchored by Greece’s largest cinema – a 20 screen Village Cinemas multiplex providing 4,516 seats.

The centre’s 49,514 sq ft shopping mall includes units for Mango, Benetton, Levis, Virgin Megastore, Nike, Timberland and Swatch, and the 51,130 sq ft of catering and leisure space include branches of KFC, Pizza Hut and Planet Hollywood.
