The facility will be used for executive offices, customer support facilities and engineering operations. A later phase will include construction of a modern wind tunnel.
The company manufactures climate control and engine cooling systems for automobiles. It is also building a 43,000-sf expansion in Auburn Hills for its paint application equipment and machinery business. The two companies are subsidiaries of Behr Group of Stuttgart, Germany.
The architect for the building is Landry and Newman of Birmingham, and thegeneral contractor is Rudolph/Libee Inc. of Canton.
