Agency Downsizing Sparks BHP Tower Shuffle

HOUSTON-An ad agency's downsizing has sparked a tenant shuffle in the 25-story BHP Tower. McCann-Erickson has subleased its space, inked a bridge lease and a more permanent pact all for the same building.

HOUSTON-One agency’s downsizing is a boon for another, which has subleased 18,575 sf of class-A office space for the seven-year balance of its lease at BHP Tower, located at 1360 Post Oak Blvd.

Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, a Kansas City-based accounting firm, is taking the space of McCann-Erickson, an advertising and public relations firm. In turn, McCann-Erickson WorldGroup has signed a bridge lease for 2,847 sf, also sublease space, until its 20th floor office is ready to occupy in August. The temporary space had been occupied by Vining-Sparks IBG LP.
