Planning consent exists for 300,000 sq ft of retail, 90,000 sq ft of leisure and 12,000 sq ft of restaurants. Tesco has signed up to anchor the project with a 109,000 sq ft food store.

Castlemore secured the site from BG Property Holdings, the property arm of British Gas, in BG?s biggest UK land deal. Over the next three years Castlemore will transform a site, bizarrely transformed by Stanley Kubrick into a little piece of Vietnam as the set for 'Full Metal Jacket', into a state-of-the-art retail and leisure scheme.
